As secrets get unlocked, Jessica starts breaking down. Readers see her open up about the past struggles of the Order. Her words paint a dark reality of what is needed to survive. It becomes a focal point in Erica’s learnings. There is so much emotion poured into this sequence that the other half of the story is forgotten. Rest assured, Tynion doesn’t leave that out of sight as the closing panels reveal hope isn’t strong enough to survive on alone.

Dell’edera and Muerto ramp up the drama with the Order closing in. Each action comes off cold as Cecilia and Gary maneuver through their small obstacles. An intense two page spread starts the action with no remorse. The aftermath begins the emotional breaks stitched throughout this issue. Readers see a small glimpse of humanity shine through as Jessica embraces Erica. This steers events into the strongest portion of the chapter.
Jessica’s talk of the toughness of the Order resonates with her expressions. The close up of the pain in her eyes leaves a heavy mark. All Erica can do is watch as Jessica unloads the deep scars she has been carrying. This leads to a series of difficult panels as Jessica tries driving her views home on Erica.
