Queen In Black: Venom Unchained #3 (Marvel Comics)
Hello there! Padawan J here, the resident Star Wars expert from the ODPH! This week I'm going to be reviewing the 3rd issue of Queen In Black: Venom Unchained from Marvel Comics!
Hela and Knull have both been going at it toe to toe for a while now. But the one thing still up in their is what does this all mean for Eddie Brock? Let’s jump into it!

The Story
The issue is the final one in this mini-series, and it serves as a kind of epilogue to the mainline Queen In Black storyline but also as a bridge between where Venom’s (the symbiote) story is going. It’s a great issue that really sets up for what’s sure to be an incredible future for Venom (again, the symbiote) and Eddie Brock.
Charles Soule’s storytelling really shines in this story and sets up for Venom #1 that he’s going to be writing in a very intriguing way. There are a couple of moments that really made me sit there and go, “Oh what’s going to happen with this?” There are moments inside the issue that feel like it change the status quo for not just Venom but the rest of the symbiotes.
If you’re a fan of Venom, Eddie Brock, the symbiotes, or some combination of the three you’re not going to want to pass up on this issue. I get the sense that it lays out a lot of the ground work for future story’s and also laying the groundwork for future plans. Regardless of where things end up, the ride is going to be a blast to read.
The Artwork
Juanan Ramirez, Jethro Morales & Erick Arciniega are in charge of the artwork for the issue and they did an incredible job. They really do a great job conveying the overall dark tone of the issue in a very effective way with the artwork. The artwork has a lot of work to do in this issue and the creative team really stepped up their game and delivered one of the bests drawn Venom comics I’ve read in some time.
Overall Grade: 8/10
A fantastic conclusion from Charles Soule sets up for a very interesting future for Venom. Together with spectacular artwork make this an issue you can’t miss out on!
