WRITING:
This issue really ramps up the mystery, well at the same time builds suspense with every clue we get. Sarah Gailey creates an atmosphere where at every revelation you think you know where the story is going, just for something else to happen which changes everything. This back and forth goes a long way in building suspense and keeping the reader engrossed with the story. Every clue that Gailey gives us in one direction, is directly followed by one from a different direction. This uncertainty gives the story a much-needed air of mystery and promises that this whodunit won’t be solved easily.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this issue vividly brings the story to life and makes each moment easy to follow. Haining draws readers in with visuals that clearly distinguish the two communities while still connecting them through a cohesive style. Rebecca Nalty’s colors add even more impact, reinforcing the contrast between the communities and making every page stand out. Together, the art team delivers strong visuals that greatly enhance the reading experience.
