WRITING:
The final issue of this mini-series comes with a mixed bag of thoughts and emotions. On one hand, Tim Sheridan completes this side story from the world of the major motion picture. The action and drama are palpable at times and as a companion piece it hits the marks it needs to. How the characters interact with one another and how the conflict plays out is very interesting and fulfilling. However, to no fault of Sheridan, the final issue seemed rushed, and things weren’t allowed to breathe. We get to Avion, and the tensions between Orko and the Avion’s lasts for a whole 2 pages before we are all set to fight for the strangers. The battle which has high stakes is also over before any real suspense or tension can get built up. This series could have used another issue or two to truly make an impact. Dark Horse should have let Sheridan cook a little longer and this may have gone down as one of the best MOTU side stories of all time.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this issue looks fantastic and really has brought this series to life. Will Sliney took the inspiration of the movie and added to it giving his own flare. The setting on Avion is very creative and is a unique area of Eternia to say the least. The character designs of the characters that were in the movie look screen accurate, well the new characters are original but also made to feel like they are from the same universe. The color selections by Israel Silva make the linework stand out, as well as adding an extra layer to the artwork on every panel. As a whole the art team has truly delivered throughout this mini-series run and really brought this story to life.

Final Thoughts:
Masters of the Universe: The Wings of Fate #4 delivers strong character work and striking artwork, but its rushed pacing keeps the finale from reaching its full potential. Still, it is an enjoyable conclusion and a worthwhile companion to the film. If you enjoyed the MOTU movie you will surely enjoy this mini-series. If you haven’t been reading issue to issue, make sure you grab a copy of the Trade when it hits the shops.
FINAL GRADE: 8/10
