MacKay answers Spector’s inquiry with a solid response. Seventeen days prior, The Mission was in search of Spector. The writing shows his frantic state as he’s desperate to find the truth. In an almost reflection, the team is scouring the city with little haste. What they discover is a darkness waiting with open arms. Readers watch as they investigate the growing shroud over the skyline. It results in a more chaotic scene than originally thought.
Spector’s pain is visible as he processes the team’s disappearance. Even in his weakened state, Spector’s words never falter in his rage. This leads him into getting a great equalizer to combat this evil. Their banter works in elevating the threat. This moves events into the final stages. The writing constructs the new direction with a sense of pause behind it. Spector’s rage is overflowing to take care of business. Damn the consequences.

Pramanik & Rosenberg open with a broken Marc Spector stumbling back home. His blooded body can barely stand as he learns of the team’s situation. The flashback pages showcases Tigra and company clawing for information. An impressive full page image highlights the team as they prepare to attack. Readers watch as they hit the streets with little remorse. Even Khonshu’s brief run-in adds more gas into their growing fire. This culminates into a full page onslaught into the shadowy building.
Moon Knight’s trek into danger leads into a visit to the Mission. A haunting decent down a stairwell is amplified by Rosenberg’s coloring. The art makes this carry a feeling of dread. It results into a full page image of Spector and his equalizer. Panels show their back and forth leading into a strong charge to the final pages. Readers watch as Spector tips his plans off to those watching the building. A superb final shot kickstarts the fight forthcoming. It leaves no doubt Moon Knight has returned and there’s hell to pay.
FINAL GRADE: 8.6
A battered Moon Knight sets forth to find the Midnight Mission eve if it kills him in this latest chapter. MacKay builds up a solid mystery with the writing. Pramanik & Rosenberg craft incredible images showing the bruised hero attempting a new mission. A steady lead-in chapter that fans will be locked and loaded for!
