*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***
You want blood? You got it! MacKay spares no expense in setting the brutality level at a high benchmark for this issue. Zodiac’s unhinged words lead the combatants into their showdown. Bushman’s taunting starts taking a toll on Spector. the writing shows the fear gas starting to grip Spector’s focus. This leads into some lethal damage being taken. Pacing slows down just enough to let the viciousness sink in. The monologue of his advantage buys Spector enough time to refocus.
Readers watch as Spector’s delusions give way to some clarity with an assist. MacKay’s use of the other personalities breaks down a new plan of attack. It’s a very creative move which launches into a violent response. A new element comes into play for the next round of combat. This proves to evoke a terrifying version of Spector. His words are chilling as the blood starts shedding. Zodiac’s commentating is a clear opposite in where this is heading. It results in a definitive finish. The epilogue teases more mystery, none greater than the final page. A solid ending of a brutal return toform.

Pramanik & Rosenberg open with Zodiac doing his best WWE announcing impression as he watches the chaos from the control room. This shifts into a pair of incredible full page shots. There’s no way readers aren’t amped up to see the fight happen by now. Once it begins, the strikes don’t hold back. Another amazing full page image goes from Marc’s perspective as he lunges at a disturbing vision of Bushman. This gives way to more brutal shots before Marc has to slide away to hide. Coloring in this sequence is adding so much to raise fear levels for not just the fighters but fans reading along.
The panel structure when Marc meets with his other halves is crafted extremely well. Each one feels like an eye blink. Once he gets his clarity, a chilling full image unveils a darker side of his light. Pacing speeds events up to a nice fever pitch. Zodiac’s frantic shock of events grabs readers attention. It ends with slower build panels to escort events to the epilogue. Once int he finish, the daylight exposes the damage done. Zodiac’s conversation with Marc reflects the odd circumstances involved with their brief pairing. It has nothing on the final page. The new view of the NYC skyline tells a more disturbing notion than anyone is expecting. Can’t say enough great things about the art for this chapter.
FINAL GRADE: 9.3
Moon Knight and Bushman hold nothing back in a beautifully violent arc finale. MacKay raises the bar on the brutality and search for strength. Pramanik & Rosenberg orchestrate an intense visual experience like no one else. Moon Knight is back and fans aren’t ready for what’s coming next!
