MacKay unleashes the insanity early and often for this go-around. Seeing Zodiac and Spector as allies is absolutely terrifying. It is enough to scare Mr. Fear into abandoning ship. Again, not a typo. These two together are so unstable the man who lives off fear is afraid to fight them. It doesn’t take long for readers to be reminded of how Fear is right. The scenes are brutal to put it mildly. Once the bodies stop dropping, the mood shifts back to a more traditional Moon Knight look. It was a fun partnership while it lasted.
The secrets of “Mr. Smith” come into new light as Smith prepares for what’s coming. Readers see a return of an old friend with bad intentions. The writing gives a proper recap of their history before going back to Spector’s play. There’s never a moment of pause as Spector wants blood. The banter with Zodiac is frantic and unhinged. It allows the other party to enter the fray. MacKay gives this a solid build before throwing more gas on this fire. The final pages show how the stakes just got more elevated. Readers will be going “holy ****!” with the last panels line. Knowing who’s involved, this is gonna be anything other than an friendly war of words.

Pramanik & Rosenberg give fans all the bloody action they can handle here. The opening page with Spector and Zodiac waiting on the minions to attack teases the pain coming. Blood is drawn in the very next page. The gleeful mannerisms of Zodiac during this is chilling. It is matched by Fear’s reaction to the new duo. His eyes tell a story realizing what has been unleashed. This only gets amplified as the pair decimate all in their way.
The silhouette of limbs is a striking piece. Everywhere readers look in this area is all carnage. A half page panel shows the victors celebrating their wins. Their union is short lived as a half panel shows Spector’s true feelings about this mess. The bloodshed gets a small breather as “Mr. Smith's true identity gets a full page reveal. Complimented by a brutal flashback page, they advance their moves against Spector. A full page blade reflection sets the tone for their upcoming battle. One unpredictable factor is tossed in the ring here. The final page is frightening as something bad has happened and it is only going to get worse next chapter.
FINAL GRADE: 8.8
Marc Spector and Zodiac fight their way to an unsettling truth in this unforgiving chapter. MacKay pushes limits and then some with the writing. Pramanik & Rosenberg unleash pure hell on Spector’s opposition. Moon Knight has returned with a brutal vengeance no one can escape!
