*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

The writing doesn’t delay on making Edge’s moves extremely vicious. Bringing the fight right to the Hunters’ doorstep is bold in execution. It leads into mass hysteria as Edge pushes forward with a dangerous gamble. The feeling of desperation floods the panels as he makes a Faustian deal. This results in setting a massive change in direction. As for Henry, things aren’t any easier.

Readers watch as he brings a healthy dose of action to his latest encounter. Pacing is speeding through as the bullets are flying. His banter with Miyamoto short but direct. There’s little room for error in this stage. Once the battle comes near its’ end, Pires and Jonas sneak in a major twist. The closing moments here throw everything off axis. Factor this in with the closing pages and there’s no shortage of wonder and electricity swirling around this issue.

Casalanguida begins with a full shot of the Hunters emergency meeting. The mood is tense till a simple full page shifts everything into a dire state. Edge’s presence is haunting as each panel passes. It serves as a solid counter to Henry’s fight. Panels feel huge as each blow is dispersed. Readers watch as a few half page images drop exclamation points on the scenes. It leads into a defiant image of Henry ready for another battle. Pair this with the dramatic looks of Edge’s propositions and the art delivers an intense trek into the unknown.

Heague and Winkle return for the back-up tale involving Bombshell. The writing shows their synergy as they mow thru the Nazi Dinosaurs. Banter is perfect with the touch of flirtation to balance out the crazy action. Bombshell’s explosive response to a herd of charging T-Rex’s gets a proper full page spotlight. The mission continues as the pair plays off each line while further advancing. It serves as a strong lead-in to the final page. A full image shows what terror lies ahead for Sydney and Henry in a sight that drives home the insanity of their conflict.

FINAL GRADE: 8.6

Henry’s world keeps spinning out of control as Edge grows stronger by the minute. The writing showcases the extreme measures to win at all costs. The art never pulls a punch with the magnificent fighting sequences. There’s never a shortage of shocks and awe in every issue!
