Hello there! Padawan J here, the resident Star Wars expert from the ODPH! This week I'm going to be reviewing the 4th and FINAL issue of Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories - Tides Of Terror from Dark Horse Comics!
Kit Fisto & Nahdar Vebb are in an all out effort to save the Axil Research Station. However everything they’ve tried to do has not worked. So just how can they save everyone on board before they meet a watery end? Let’s jump into it!

The Story
George Mann did a really good job packing some action into this finale and giving it the feel of an episode from The Clone Wars 3D animated series. The story picks up right where the last one left off, with Kit Fisto & Nahdar doing everything they can to rescue the research station.
I really enjoyed how tense this issue was from start to finish, and how it gave you this feeling of not really knowing how things were going to play out in the end. Sure we know Kit & Nahdar are going to survive, but we had NO clue how the rest of it wads going to play out. It was the anticipation of the ending that really made this enjoyable.
The scope of the story was also great in that it wasn’t just a simple solution of show up, wave their lightsabers around and all of a sudden things would be solved. George did a great job building the tension & raising the stakes while giving things a broad scope to show this wasn’t just a simple mission.
I really enjoyed the way the series ended, and it honestly gave me a feeling of a series of episodes from the first few seasons of The Clone Wars and that plays into the series overall strength. If you’re a fan of that show, you’ll love the story.
The Artwork
Luis Morocho, Le Beau Underwood & Michael Atiyeh all did a fantastic job with the artwork in the series. They did a great job bringing some well known characters to a 2D format and keeping that familiar look readers will be used to. I also loved the way the colors were used in the issue and gave you a closed in, impending doom sort of feeling that really enhanced the story.
FINAL POINT: George Mann closes out a really fun series that felt like a fun callback to some of my favorite episodes of The Clone Wars. It’s a story filled with twists & turns that is sure to keep you turning the page right up to the last page. Along with some artwork that is really stellar, all fans of Star Wars should check this series out!
Overall Grade: 8/10
