Catching up with the Wanderer after the events of the first chapter of this series. He has been captured and G Force scientists are running tests on him to see if they can harness his mutative powers. They are treating him very poorly, both physically and mentally. WRITING:

The first issue of this new chapter brings us up to speed on what happened to the Wanderer at the end of the first chapter. Ethan S. Parker & Griffen Sheridan don’t miss a beat as they dive us straight back into the world of the Deadzone. The torturous experiments they are running on the Wanderer are only made worse by the mental torment they are putting him through as well. Parker & Sheridan really delve into what makes the Wanderer tick and show the reader his mental anguish. As the issue progresses this torture intensifies until there is only one way for this issue to clearly end. When the payoff finally comes not only is it satisfying, but it is also intense. The level the Wanderer has been pushed to will surely be the catalyst for where this chapter of the series will be going.

ARTWORK:

The artwork featured in this issue is distinguished by its lively and unique style. Pablo Tunica revitalizes the Deadzone universe, infusing it with a captivating visual dynamism that leaves a lasting impression. The character designs are inventive and original, adding to the story’s unmistakable atmosphere. Visually, the action scenes are impressive and maintain the reader’s attention throughout the issue.

Notably, Pablo Tunica’s color choices breathe life and depth into every panel, making each moment both visually stimulating and emotionally meaningful. Adding to this, Thomas Williams’ lettering skillfully expresses the characters’ feelings, further enhancing the narrative and drawing readers deeper into the experience. Their collaborative artistry raises the standard of visual storytelling, setting this book apart with its remarkable artistic delivery.
