WRITING:
This issue continues the wild story and tale that was established in issue one. Fred Kennedy continues to unfold a wild and fun story with a lot of humor. The crazy nature of this story lends itself to humor, and Kennedy steers straight into the funny showing that this story is not one to take seriously. It’s nice to not have to make everything serious and with meaning and sometimes just have a story that is fun for the sake of fun. The only unfortunate side to that is following the plot becomes hard at times as its just one crazy scene to the next. But who needs a great plot when we are having a ton of fun and laughing throughout.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this issue is every bit as lively and wild as the story. James Edward Clark brings a distinct style that fits the narrative perfectly. Through his choice of colors, Clark gives the illustrations an aged feel, transporting readers back to the 70s and 80s. The art captures the playful spirit of the story and engages readers just as much as the energetic plot does.

Final Thoughts:
Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre #2 continues the fun and crazy nature set up in issue one and expands on it further. This issue brings the fun, funny, and crazy to a new level of insanity. The only detriment to this issue and series is the lack of a truly cohesive story. Due to the nature of this series the story is all over the place and hard to follow at times. However, this is supposed to be a fun series, and it does hit that mark perfectly. If you grab a copy of this book at the shop, be prepared to laugh and have fun, while also not being able to decipher where you are in the story.
