Well, that is going down a crazed Audrey has finally found Jason, but because of her crazed look Laura stops her from taking him. Meanwhile, the family from Massachusetts is trying to take advantage of a loophole so that she can steal the game for her family. As the final showdowns are setting up, who will be the winner and what shenanigans will take place before we get there?

WRITING:

This is the penultimate issue for this season, and it lives up to the hype and then some. James Tynion IV takes all of the storylines and intertwines them together seamlessly in this issue. Some of the survivors have become what they were fighting against, well the powerful families are at each other’s throats struggling for power. Tynion really shines with the character arcs for Audrey and Laura. Making Laura a crazed maniac because of what she’s seen and gone through. Well having Laura be the hero/final girl we need. The twists and turns Tynion uses to keep the surprises coming are creative and keep the reader guessing.

ARTWORK:

The artwork featured in this issue is outstanding and perfectly reflects its atmosphere. Michael Walsh skillfully portrays both the violence and action, while also handling the story’s dramatic moments with precision. Maintaining the familiar stylistic design from previous entries in the series adds great value. Walsh’s work particularly shines through in the way intense emotions are depicted; the characters’ pain and the raw emotion in difficult scenes make the art truly remarkable. Combined with Jordie Bellaire’s renowned color palette for the series, the visuals in this issue are exceptional.
