Bocardo, taking place way back in the 19th century fur trade. We find our main character suddenly finding himself with powers. Hijinks are ensuing as he's sucked into a strange and different world.
What did we think?
Well, guys, this is the first issue coming out, and it's got to set the board. It certainly does that. Black Star really has an interesting concept here with a lot of different characters and a lot of really cool concepts and ideas.

The art in this is really good. I liked it a lot. This balances out the direction of the story very well. It's got some quiet character moments. You've got some gore and violence in there to shake things up.
What I really liked about this book was it just sets up what could be potentially an awesome run of stories. That’s exactly what you get here: Building blocks for soemthing even greater down the road.
FINAL GRADE: 8
Black Star #1 from titan comics is a very solid opening chapter. I can't wait to see where this goes. Get on board, guys. Make sure to get this issue in the collection. Let's get issue two, three, four, and on in our hands, and let's keep this story going.
