WRITING:
This return issue brings the reader back up to speed and catches you up very quickly. Robert Kirkman deals with the fallout of the first arc, well setting up what this arc will be. The way Kirkman is able to catch readers up and also explain to new readers where we are in the story is an awesome tool. It wastes very little time, while keeping the story at a good pace. But the true highlight of this issue is the humor and how the comedy beats hit. Readers have become accustomed to this in this universe and this issue definitely doesn’t disappoint.
ARTWORK:
This issue's artwork is fantastic and captures the world perfectly. Ryan Ottley does an incredible job with every aspect of the artwork in this book. The character designs are unique and very cool, while the backgrounds create this incredible world that the reader can easily be lost in. Ottley delivers some truly awe-inspiring art in this issue, while still keeping it fun and lighthearted. As good as Ottley’s artwork is, it’s truly highlighted by Annalisa Leoni’s color selections. The colors give the mood and tone of what’s going on, well at the same time making the artwork jump off the page.

Final Thoughts:
Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #7 picks up the story where the last issue left off seamlessly. Starting this new arc by getting the details of what happened between the arcs out of the way will only help the pace of the story going forward. Even though this is a bridge issue, it still brings a lot of fun, well setting up where we will be going in this new arc. If you were looking for a good jump on issue for this series, this is one that you should pick up at the LCS this week.
