STORY OVERVIEW:

Tom Doublay is trying to live an ordinary life, and for the most part he’s pretty successful at. All be it with one issue, that random dead versions of himself from other dimensions just appear randomly. They appear in the weirdest places at the weirdest times, worse than that it leaves him with having to dispose of the bodies. No one seems to be able to help him and weirder than that the authorities seem not to even care. But as neighbors and other locals get tired of the bodies, there is no one more tired of this affliction than him.

WRITING:

Assorted Crisis Events #7 tells a strange and weird tale of a man who is forced to deal with a problem that can’t be solved. Deniz Camp really excels at writing these crazy and obscure anthology stories. Camp really turns up the weird in this tale, exploring a macabre but yet sorrowful story. The only thing this story seems to be missing is a deeper message. But even with that being said the story is still a lot of weird fun.

ARTWORK:

The art in this issue is amazing and really shows the story in the best light. Eric Zawadzki really does a great job of not only showing the weird body filled world, but also the despair Tom Doublay finds himself in. The different creative positions and situations Zawadzki uses to showcase the dead bodies is simply awesome. Jordie Belaire’s color schemes and palette really make the art stand out and also make all the dead bodies more palatable for the reader.

Final Thoughts:

Assorted Crisis Events #7 delivers a fun and weird story with some amazing art. The message is a little lacking but that doesn’t take away from the entertainment value from the story itself. If you are looking for a weird and unique story this issue and series is definitely for you.

FINAL GRADE: 8/10
