Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge - Echoes of the Empire #4
Hello there! Padawan J here, the resident Star Wars expert from the ODPH! This week I'm going to be reviewing the 4th issue of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge - Echoes of the Empire from Marvel Comics!
Our heroes have returned to Batuu to return the relic they kept out of the clutches of the Empire. What should be simple return ends up not working out the way they would hope so. Let’s jump into it!

The Story
The story gets interesting in this issue with a bit of a time jump taking place in the story. The story jumps forward to some time after the fall of the Empire, and our heroes are returning to Batuu to return the relic. It should be an easy trip with no hiccups, but once you see a certain pirate is nearby, you know how it’s going to go.
I really liked how the issue started off with a simple premise, and then hit the gas pedal and hit the ground running very quickly. The story feels like such a classic Star Wars story, with some of the core characters fans have come to know and love. I really loved the storyline involving Han and Chewie. It had such a feel of something I would’ve come up with as a kid with my action figures. The whole story was just fun to read from start to finish.
The Artwork
Jethro Morales, Roi Mercado & Rachelle Rosenberg are still in charge of the art for the issue and they really do a tremendous job recreating the likeness of the actors from the movies. There’s also the familiar look that Marvel has done for the Star Wars series over the years that really lends some familiarity to longtime fans. It’s the sense of familiarity, together with how easy a story it is to jump into that add to the readability of the issue.
Overall Grade: 8/10
A solid entry into to the series that continues the familiar formula that’s tried and true. Together with artwork that longtime comic fans will be very familiar with. This is an issue you’re not going to want to miss out on.
