STORY OVERVIEW:

We finally get to see Ted’s nightmare, and it is terrifying and eye opening. He meets Sarah and confides in her about his nightmare as well as that he saw a spaceship when he disappeared in the building. Before Sarah can investigate any of this, Brody, her boss, shows up at her house and lets her know that he knows that she’s crossed the line when it comes to Ted. However, he won’t tell anyone as long as she goes on a date with him. However, the date has to wait as there is a mandatory Gala for all employees of Ayn-Styne. At the Gala Noah makes a huge announcement, but more importantly Ted finds out Sarah works for the company. This leaves him untrusting her, and her apologizing. But this is the least of Ted’s worries as another and even more important truth is revealed to him and Sarah.

WRITING:

This issue ups the weird well also revealing some truths that are very important to the story. Dave Chisholm takes us further down the rabbit hole that is Ted. We first get to see what Ted thinks is going on and it is a grand conspiracy. But just as we think he’s got it figured out, the rug is yanked from beneath us and everything we thought we knew is thrown out the window. The bait and switch that Chisholm uses keeps the reader on their toes and makes the story that much more uneasy. Chisholm also does a great job of setting up more revelations involving Noah, which should pay off in the next issue.

ARTWORK:

The visuals in this issue reflect the story’s intensity, keeping readers on their toes. Dave Chisholm delivers artwork that is both stunning and unsettling, which strongly contributes to the overall atmosphere. His illustrations reinforce the sense of uncertainty about what’s real or imagined. The colors perfectly complement the tone, and the coloring technique skillfully conveys the chaotic nature of the narrative.
