Credit: Dynamite Comics // Gargoyles/Darkwing Duck #3 by Tad Stones (Plot & Main Cover), Greg Weisman (Plot & Script), Ciro Cangialosi (Art & Color), Agnese Eterno (Art), Jeff Eckleberry (Letterer) is another great entry in the crossover that is sure to delight fans!

*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

The Story

Greg Weisman & Tad Stones pick up right where the previous issue left off, and it hits the ground running with a furious pace. Demona is hot on the trail of the Qwackronomicon, all the meanwhile our heroes are playing catchup and trying to stop her. Greg & Tad do a great job continuing the pace and hitting some of the familiar beats longtime fans of both series would be familiar with.

I really enjoy how both casts blend together so effortlessly because the tone of both shows is very different. Yet somehow they come together in such a way that feels like they were almost destined to come together. The way both teams bounce off each other in their own whimsical ways that was such a joy to read.

I really enjoyed the frantic chaotic pace of the story of the issue and the way it built to the ending. It’s a great page turner and it works in such a way that builds in a natural way with a perfect blend of comedy & action. If you’re a fan of either series, or both, you’re going to absolutely love this.

The Artwork

Ciro Cangialosi & Agnese Eterno phenomenal work continues with this issue. With two classic shows, they both do a fantastic job capturing the look and feel of both shows. The artwork is a love letter to an art style that we haven’t seen in some time. It also helps make the issue very accessible to long time fans.

FINAL POINT: The issue is a must read if you’re a 90’s kid, and it’s a series that continues to impress with how perfectly they work together. An incredible story, and phenomenal artwork make this a series you do NOT want to miss out on.

Overall Grade: 9/10
