We have come to the end of this exciting arc! Claire Voyant has been tempted by the demon inside of the medallion and is now destroying the Capes Inc. team. Everyone must join in to stop her if they hope to save the city. At the end of the day the last line of defense is Bolt, and this leads to an exciting conclusion. However, just because this battle has concluded doesn’t mean that the fallout from this situation is over yet.

WRITING:
Benito Cereno sticks the landing on the final issue of this arc. The peril and adversity that he has had, the Capes Inc. team go through over these last issues, pays off in a big way and then some. The drama and tension that had been building between Claire and Phil really comes to a head here. Even though this battle and conflict is over and the two of them are back on the same page. The revelations learned during this issue are sure to be the focus of the next arc and beyond. The action in this issue is fast and nonstop, delivering major excitement throughout the issue. But the most important thing Cereno does is give us some closure on what Bolt has been going through. Over the last handful of issues Bolt’s confidence has been waning. At some points it looked like he was going to let this defeat him. However, as we finish this issue, we are on the road to what should be a new and improved Bolt going forward. This is really exciting, and I for one cannot wait to see what Cereno does with Bolt moving forward.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this issue, much like the rest of the series, is simply stunning. Mark Englert captures the world of Capes and brings it to life for the readers to enjoy. The backdrop of the city is awesome and shows a great deal of scale, especially when you have superheroes fighting amongst themselves. Speaking of the heroes, Englert’s character designs are cool and give each character their own individuality. The fast-paced action is captured in a fantastic way that really gets the readers blood boiling. The colors are bright and welcoming, keeping all the action and drama as a focal point through out the course of the issue. Finally, Rus Wooton’s lettering ties everything together. The action words blend into the art and extenuate the action that is going on around it. Well the narration and word bubbles are concise and easy to follow.
